New IMI calls

The Innovative Medicines Initiatives (IMI) is a partnership between the European Union and the European pharmaceutical industry. It intends to facilitate collaboration between the key players involved in healthcare research, including universities, pharmaceutical companies, other companies active in healthcare research, small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), patient organisations, and medicines regulators

Two new calls were launched on 19 July with a total budget of just over €130 million. They address the following topics:

  • Alzheimer’s disease and technologies
  • Making data FAIRer
  • Towards more reliable clinical trials for primary Sjögren’s Syndrome (pSS)
  • European Health Data Network
  • Vaccines and older people
  • Getting drugs across the blood-brain barrier
  • European screening centre
  • Exploitation of IMI project results
